Sports card inventory spreadsheet Collection tab with player, set, grade, cost, value and eBay links

Free Sports Card Inventory Spreadsheet (Google Sheets Tracker)

A rookie card in a penny sleeve, a graded slab on the shelf, a shoebox of commons from the last card show: a sports card collection gets hard to track fast. This free sports card inventory spreadsheet gives you one clean place to log every card, what you paid, what it is worth now, and a one click link to eBay sold listings so you can check what a card really sells for.

It runs in Google Sheets, so it costs nothing, works on your phone and laptop, and your collection lives in your own copy that nobody else can see.

What You Get

  • A Collection tab for 100 cards, with player, year, set, card number, sport, grade, quantity, cost paid, your current value and gain or loss on every row.
  • A Wishlist tab with target prices and last sold prices that flags each card as Buy now or Wait.
  • A Summary tab with totals, your most valuable card, and a breakdown by sport.
  • A short Start Here guide, so you can be up and running in a couple of minutes.

Every row also gets two eBay links built from the details you type: one for active listings and one for sold listings. The more you fill in (year, set, card number, grade), the sharper the search.

Who This Sports Card Tracker Is For

Collectors who want to know what their baseball, basketball, football, hockey or soccer cards are worth, flippers who buy and sell at shows or online, and parents or kids who just want their cards organized. Graded and raw cards both work, because there is a grade or condition column for entries like PSA 10, BGS 9.5 or Raw.

If you have ever lost track of what you paid for a card, or wondered whether that listing is a good deal, this sheet is for you.

How to Use the Sports Card Inventory Spreadsheet

Collection tab

Type the player name in column A, then add the year, set, card number, sport and grade. Enter how many you own, what you paid for each, and what you think each card is worth now. Total value and gain or loss are calculated for you, and the stats at the top show cards owned, total cost, total value and overall gain or loss.

Wishlist tab

Add the cards you are hunting for, the most you want to pay, and the last sold price you found. The Status column shows Buy now when the last sold price is at or under your target, and Wait when it is not.

Summary tab

Nothing to fill in here. The Summary pulls from your Collection tab and shows total cards, entries, cost, value, gain or loss, gain percentage, average value per card, your most valuable card, and a table by sport.

Why Sold Listings Matter

Asking prices on active listings tell you what sellers hope to get. Sold listings tell you what buyers actually paid. That is the number to use when you set your value column, so each row has a Sold listings link that opens eBay filtered to completed sales for that exact card. Search the card, read the last few sales, and type in the value you trust.

This tracker does not pull live prices for you, because there is no free price feed that covers sports cards. You stay in control of every number, and the sold link makes it a ten second check.

A Note on eBay Links

The eBay links in this template are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, Sheetrix may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It helps keep the templates free.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this sports card tracker really free?

Yes. Download it, make your own copy in Google Sheets, and use it as long as you like. There are no ads inside the sheet and no limits on editing it.

Does it update prices automatically?

No. You enter your own value for each card, and the Sold listings link shows recent eBay sales so you can check it quickly.

How many cards can I track?

Each tab holds 100 cards. If you need more room, make a second copy of the template for another binder or box.

What does the Allow access banner mean?

The eBay link cells fetch the search links from Sheetrix. Google asks you to approve that once per copy. Click Allow access and the links appear.

Does it work for graded cards?

Yes. Use the Grade or condition column for PSA, BGS, SGC or CGC grades, or write Raw. The grade is added to the eBay search so you see comparable sales.

Which sports does it cover?

Any. The Sport column has a dropdown for baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer and other, and you can type your own if you collect something else.

Is this affiliated with a card maker or league?

No. This tracker is not affiliated with or endorsed by any card manufacturer, league, team or player. All names are used only to describe the cards you own.
